Project Description: The goal of USB-CDCI is to support the Chronic Disease Clinic in Ifakara located at the St. Francis Regional Referral Hospital, an implementation project to improve service for people living with HIV. In addition, the clinic runs the Kilombero and Ulanga Antiretroviral Cohort (KIULARCO). The goal of USB-CDCI is to support the Chronic Disease Clinic in Ifakara located at the St. Francis Regional Referral Hospital, an implementation project to improve service for people living with HIV. In addition, the clinic runs the Kilombero and Ulanga Antiretroviral Cohort (KIULARCO). The project is aligned to the CDCI project (IHI-SwissTPH collaboration) and the USB-KIULARCO project (USB directorate – IHI collaboration), while the activities within this project will be covered by a private funder, who does not want to be named. All three projects aim to improve health in people living with HIV. The CDCI works in the framework of the National AIDS Control program and delivers quality care to patients, and offer a platform for research and training. CDCI and KIULARCO overarching objectives include; 1. Offer services to people living with HIV in the Kilombero and Ulanga Districts 2. Offer services to people presenting with symptoms of tuberculosis 3. Provide family-centered services for families affected by HIV in the One Stop Clinic 4. Improve services through research, notably by maintaining the Kilombero and Ulanga Antiretroviral Cohort 5. Collaborate with the SFRRH, the MoH, Afya Yangu 6.
